Event Highlights | Climate Drinks with Team for the Planet (Auckland) (Sept. 2026)
Climate Drinks Auckland brought together the TFTP community for an evening of climate discussion, including a presentation from Ryan Philp.
The latest Climate Drinks Auckland took place at Wynyard Pavilion, bringing together the local Team for the Planet community and others interested in climate action and sustainability.
We opened the evening with a screening of OneHome’s video featuring Dr Jane Goodall, offering a reminder of our shared home and the importance of protecting it.
Team for the Planet update
Frederik Cornu, New Zealand Planet Leader for Team for the Planet, shared an update on TFTP, including the latest news and plans for the community.
Your Job is a Climate Job
The evening continued with Ryan Philp, Head of Sustainability at Daikin New Zealand and author of Your Job is a Climate Job.
Ryan spoke about looking beyond individual consumer choices and considering the influence we can have through our workplaces, economic decisions and civic engagement. He also discussed the role of evidence-based climate solutions, including initiatives such as Project Drawdown.
In his book, Ryan explores the idea that climate action is not limited to people working in dedicated sustainability roles, but can be connected to the work we do every day.
