Throwback - Climate Drinks (Auckland, Nov '24)
The recent Climate Drinks of the Auckland community of Team for the Planet was a resounding success.
It was a night of connection and climate action, bringing together climate-conscious individuals, sustainability advocates, and new faces at Tonkin + Taylor’s stunning new event space.
The evening kicked off with a warm introduction and update from Frederik Cornu, New Zealand Planet Leader of Team for the Planet. The audience then enjoyed a though-provoking presentation by Kat McDonald, Purpose & Impact Manager APAC at SailGP. Kat explored the theme of “Sport and Sustainability,” illustrating how sports organizations can be powerful drivers of environmental and social change. She outlined the challenges of embedding sustainability in the world of competitive sports but also showcased how SailGP is leading by example, creating positive impact both on and off the water.
The event drew a diverse crowd, including many first-time attendees eager to engage in climate action conversations. The relaxed networking atmosphere allowed for meaningful connections and the exchange of ideas, reinforcing the community’s commitment to collaborative climate solutions.
