Throwback - Climate Drinks Auckland - 3rd Anniversary (May 2025)
Celebrating 3 Years of New Zealand Planet & Climate Drinks in Auckland.
What a night! The FNZCCI Climate & Sustainability Committee was thrilled to support a very special edition of Climate Drinks Auckland, marking the 3-year anniversary of New Zealand Planet (Team for the Planet Aotearoa).
Hosted by the passionate Auckland TFTP community, the evening brought together a fantastic crowd of familiar faces and newcomers, all united by a shared interest in driving meaningful climate action. It was a chance to reflect on how far the community has come, celebrate the collective impact, and spark conversations on what’s next.
The evening kicked off with an inspiring update from Frederik Cornu, New Zealand Planet Leader of TFTP, who shared the latest global milestones, including NZ$70 million raised, 14 companies funded, and a growing international network of over 129,000 shareholders. A real testament to the power of collective action.
We were then treated to a thought-provoking session with guest speakers Simon Harvey and Emma Singh from Tonkin + Taylor. Their presentation, “Breaking down barriers to meaningful change mitigation and adaptation,” dived deep into the challenges of translating climate ambition into tangible action. The interactive discussion brought practical insights from their work in sustainability strategy and climate risk, sparking some excellent questions and conversations in the room.
And of course, no celebration is complete without a toast! The evening wrapped up with networking over drinks, as attendees connected, exchanged ideas, and celebrated three years of building a strong climate action community here in Aotearoa.
