Beca is one of Asia Pacific’s largest independent consultancies, specialising in advisory, design, and engineering services, dedicated to 'making everyday better.'
For over a century, Beca has played a pivotal role in shaping and delivering transformative infrastructure projects across New Zealand. Our expertise spans spatial and strategic planning, major transport initiatives, water management, energy systems, as well as correctional, health, and education facilities. With well-established connections throughout the infrastructure ecosystem—from early planning and community engagement to design and construction—our multidisciplinary teams apply innovative systems-thinking to create sustainable and resilient environments where people live, work, learn, and play.
With a global workforce of more than 4,000 professionals across 24 offices and a project footprint in over 70 countries, Beca extends its excellence beyond New Zealand, to Australia, Asia and the Pacific. Beca has been operating in New Caledonia for 30 years primarily servicing the mining and industrial market sectors. Beca has an office Noumea with a staff of 10 lead by Beca's French Territories Countries Manager Frederic Poujade. As part of Beca's Pacific markets growth strategy, there is a focus on the diversification of consulting services into the New Caledonian market into Infrastructure projects and entry into the French Polynesian market primarily focused on Infrastructure, Industrial and Energy.
Our presence in New Caledonia, combined with strong partnerships with leading French infrastructure and construction firms in New Zealand, underscore our commitment to international collaboration. We are proud to be a new member of the French New Zealand Chamber of Commerce, enhanced by the significant contribution of our Beca French community of 40 French-speaking experts from around the globe who share their technical expertise with us.
