Throwback - September Wellington French-Kiwi Afterwork

The FNZCCI team was joined by the newly arrived French Ambassador-Designate and the Alliance Française Wellington for the relaunch of our Afterworks.

What a great turnout for our first Wellington-based French-Kiwi Afterwork for 2022! A big merci, thank you, to everyone who joined us. After a lengthy Covid-related hiatus since December 2021, it was so great to catch up with our Wellington Chapter members and friends.

FNZCCI members and friends were welcomed by FNZCCI Wellington Head of Chapter Doug Cameron, and FNZCCI Vice President Hélène Toury was also present for the occasion. The team were joined by the newly arrived French Ambassador-Designate to New Zealand, Laurence Beau - a great opportunity for her to meet with the Wellington-based French-Kiwi community, and vice versa!

We were thrilled to also be joined by the Alliance Française Wellington, with whom the FNZCCI has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Attendees got to hear about our exciting new agreement to facilitate a closer relationship and promote French culture and business activities in New Zealand. More specifically, the FNZCCI and Alliance Française Wellington have agreed to cooperate in the organisation of events for the benefits of the members of each organisation. Examples of such a collaboration could be an annual Petanque Tournament or celebrations around Bastille Day!
