Join us for the next edition of Climate Drinks, hosted by the Auckland-based community of Team for the Planet (TFTP) and supported by the FNZCCI Climate & Sustainability Committee.

This event is a great opportunity to connect with others who are passionate about sustainability and climate action, in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

What to Expect:

This edition will explore how global and local perspectives can work hand-in-hand to accelerate climate action - from big-picture system modelling to tangible community-led electrification initiatives.

Welcome - Frederik Cornu

The evening will open with welcome and update on the latest news and developments from TFTP from Frederik Cornu, New Zealand Planet Leader for TFTPfollowed by two inspiring presentations:

An Introduction to EnRoads - Simon Upton
Discover EnRoads, a global climate and energy simulation tool developed by MIT Sloan. Simon will give a live demonstration and explore how this interactive model is being used around the world to foster meaningful conversations on climate solutions.
Simon is a Climate Ambassador for EnRoads. With a background in IT, project management and consultancy, he now focuses on empowering others to engage with practical, data-driven climate action.

Rewiring Aotearoa: Powering Change from the Ground Up - Jay Salzke
Jay will share how Rewiring Aotearoa is helping communities across New Zealand lower their bills, cut emissions and boost resilience by electrifying the millions of fossil-fuel machines in our homes, farms and businesses.
Jay Salzke, Ecosystem Lead for Rewiring Aotearoa, is an educator and community builder leading a network of 25+ local electrification groups. He previously managed partnerships for Auckland Climate Festival and is completing a Master of Climate Science and Policy.
