Throwback - Francophonie Night (March 2024)

March 20th was International Francophonie Day and the FNZCCI and the Alliance Française Auckland marked the occasion by hosting "Francophonie Night".

80+ attendees joined us for this soirée dedicated to celebrating French language in business, culture, gastronomy and sport. The evening featured special guests Marc Cerdan from the Fondation des Alliances Françaises, and Eric Soulier from the Embassy of France in New Zealand.

Attendees also got the chance to hear from distinguished speakers François Dudouit (VINCI Construction Grands Projets), Tracy Berno (AUT and Pacific Food Lab), Franck Castillo (Oceania Football Confederation) and Fergus Grady (French Film Festival Aotearoa) during a great panel discussion on the place of Francophonie in their respective domaines.

Guests were then treated to a performance by Franco-American singer, songwriter and musician Sonia Wilson, had the chance to mingle over a glass of wine and canapés, and some even walked away with a range of great prizes from the Francophonie Raffle!
