Bringing a rich history of winemaking and a dedication to the art of living, EDRH enriches New Zealand’s wine and hospitality scene with its exceptional vineyards and premium offerings.
About Edmond de Rothschild Heritage
Founded on a philosophy of passion, excellence, and authenticity, Edmond de Rothschild Heritage has been producing wines across four continents for decades. Its New Zealand operations include the Rimapere Vineyard in Marlborough and the recently acquired Akarua Vineyard in Central Otago.
Rimapere, established in 2012 in the sun-soaked Marlborough Valley, specializes in vibrant Sauvignon Blancs, while Akarua, with its 34.5 hectares in Bannockburn, Central Otago, produces some of the country’s finest Pinot Noir. Both estates are celebrated for their commitment to revealing the true character of their terroirs, guided by Ariane de Rothschild’s vision to enhance the natural qualities of each vineyard.
EDRH in New Zealand
With the addition of Akarua, EDRH has entered the organic wine market, producing premium and super-premium wines exclusively from estate-grown grapes. The Cairnmuir plots of Akarua are particularly prized for their balance, complexity, and suitability for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards also offer immersive visitor experiences, including guided tours and tastings, allowing wine lovers to discover the heritage and craftsmanship behind every bottle.
