Throwback - French Pacific Tech Delegation in New Zealand
The FNZCCI welcomed French Pacific tech innovators to NZ, connecting them with startups, investors and the country's thriving innovation ecosystem.
This week the FNZCCI, led by our Bilateral Business Development Coordinator Katrina Challet, welcomed a French Pacific Tech Delegation to Auckland, connecting Pacific innovators with New Zealand’s thriving tech ecosystem.
Organised in collaboration with CCI Nouvelle-Calédonie and La French Tech Nouvelle-Calédonie, the delegation explored New Zealand’s innovation landscape, met Kiwi entrepreneurs and investors and engaged in B2B meetings to build meaningful business connections.

The delegation was made up of innovative French Pacific companies: Blue Garden (Kevin Besson), Black Pearl Factory (Philippe Martin), E-Reo (Heiura Itae-Tetaa), Pacifik Market (Christiane Waneissi), MAM Assistance (Jean-Marc Brecard), and Digit NC (Julien Cozzi),
Welcome & Market Insights
Delegates kicked off at Beca, welcomed by Nicolas Brisson, Mathieu Duguay and Neil Thompson. Sessions included presentations from FNZCCI, NZ Services (Tatiana), Hesketh Henry (Ben Hickson), Baker Tilly (Mike Rudd), and La French Tech NZ (Franck Ridon). A big thank you to Beca for hosting and sharing insights on innovation and collaboration.
B2B Meetings - Building Connections
The FNZCCI also organised B2B meetings for the delegates, connecting them with local entrepreneurs, investors and potential partners. Special thanks to Rohan from Pacific Trade Invest (PTI) for his assistance in organising a number of these meetings.
Ventures & Startups
Delegates also got the opportunity to explore New Zealand’s startup “engine houses”:
? Grid Auckland – Special thanks to Eve Charles for organising the tour and providing a chance for delegates to meet several innovative startups.
? Outset Ventures – Delegates enjoyed a tour led by Mat Rowe and Amila Nuhodzic, with inspiring conversations with Kiwi founders.
? Icehouse Ventures – Jack McQuire welcomed the delegation and delivered an insightful presentation on innovation and investment.
A big thank you to Kirsty Reynolds, former FNZCCI Board Member and initiator of the FNZCCI’s French Pacific activities. Her expertise and contacts were essential in assisting the coordination of these visits.
La French Tech NZ Tech Talk & Networking
The week concluded with La French Tech NZ’s Tech Talk & speed networking, featuring FNZCCI members Mathieu Duguay (BECA) and Frederik Cornu (Schneider Electric) as panelists.
