Throwback - FNZCCI Expert Session with Advisably: Immigration Insights for the Infrastructure Sector (Feb. 2026)

We recently hosted an FNZCCI Expert Session with Advisably, bringing together members and guests for a practical conversation around immigration in the infrastructure and construction sector.

A big thank you to Sebastien Pham (Licensed Immigration Adviser) for sharing clear and actionable insights throughout the session. He walked us through current immigration settings, recent policy updates, and what they mean in practice for employers navigating talent challenges in the sector.

The discussion also touched on AEWV trends, residency pathways as a retention strategy, and some of the common pitfalls employers should be aware of.

What really stood out was just how strategic immigration has become for infrastructure and construction projects in New Zealand, and how important it is for businesses to stay informed and proactive.

A warm thank you as well to BizDojo Ponsonby for hosting us, Copain for the delicious pastries, and of course to everyone who joined and contributed to the discussion.

If you missed the session or would like to explore how these insights apply to your organisation, feel free to reach out to Advisably directly to continue the conversation.

And if you’re an FNZCCI member interested in sharing your own expertise through a future Expert Session - we’d love to hear from you.
